We bought our first home and assumed the hard part was over...we were wrong!

The day we closed on our first house, we were thrilled. And then, almost immediately, we became overwhelmed. For months we'd had a realtor in our corner to call when we had questions. Then we signed the papers, got the keys, and just like that we were on our own. We figured it out the hard way, through late-night searches, a few expensive mistakes, and advice from whoever would pick up the phone.

The strange part wasn't that we were unprepared. It was that nobody else seemed to be either. The information was out there somewhere, scattered across blogs and forums and PDFs from agencies you'd never heard of. Nobody had put it in one place. So we did.

First Keys is what we wish someone had built for us. It's the welcome home kit for new homeowners, and the closing gift for realtors who want to send their clients off with something useful and that lasts. We're based in Fargo, ND, with roots in Minneapolis and Detroit Lakes, MN. We built First Keys for new homeowners everywhere.
