Return and Refund Policy
We want you to love your First Keys box. If something isn't right, here's how we handle it.
Return window
You have 14 days from the date you receive your order to request a return on eligible items. To qualify, the item must be unopened, unused, and in its original packaging. Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required. These requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Non-returnable items
Due to the personalized nature of our products, the following items are final sale and not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:
- Realtor Custom Boxes: Because these boxes include custom-printed materials with your name, brokerage, and uploaded branding, they cannot be returned once production has begun. Please double-check all submitted information at checkout before placing your order.
How to start a return
To request a return on an eligible item, email us at hello@firstkeys.io with your order number and reason for return. We'll review your request and, if approved, send you instructions on how and where to ship the item back. Please do not ship items back to us without first requesting a return — items sent without prior approval cannot be accepted.
Return shipping
The customer is responsible for return shipping costs if return is required.
Damaged, defective, or incorrect orders
Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If your item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 14 days of delivery at hello@firstkeys.io with your order number and photos of the issue. These requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If accepted, we will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.
Exchanges
We do not process direct exchanges. If you'd like a different item, please return the original (if eligible) and place a new order.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we'll email you to confirm whether your refund has been approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.
Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved and you haven't seen it, please contact us at hello@firstkeys.io.
