Who is First Keys for?
First Keys is for new homeowners. It helps you navigate the first weeks, months, and years in a new home, answering the questions that come up along the way.
Buy it for yourself, or send it to family or a friend who just moved in. It's the kind of housewarming gift people actually
use.
There's also a Realtor Edition built for agents to give as a closing gift, fully customized with your photo, branding, and contact info. It's a gift your clients keep around long after closing day.
What's inside The First Keys Kit?
- Welcome Letter from Founder: A personal note from the co-founders, welcoming you home and sharing the story behind the kit.
- The New Homeowner’s Playbook: A 45+ page guide organized around the timeline of moving in. What to do in the first 48 hours, how to read your mortgage statement, when to DIY vs. call a pro, how to protect your home with the right insurance, and how to build a maintenance routine that prevents expensive surprises. And answers to all the other questions you are about to have.
- Complete Address Change Checklist Card: A two-sided card listing 20 accounts and institutions that need your new address. Organized by urgency into "Do Today," "Do This Week," and "Do This Month." QR codes link directly to the update pages for the most common ones.
- Your Home’s Vital Stats Card: A two-sided fill-in card with rows for every major home system. Your roof, HVAC, water heater, furnace, appliances, and more. Prefilled with each system’s average lifespan and replacement cost. Record each system's age on move-in day so you can plan and budget for any large expenses well in advance. Never be caught off guard.
- Your Network Card: A two-sided fill-in card with rows for 10 service categories: electrician, contractor, HVAC professional, plumber, handyman, and others. Fill it in as you meet and vet local pros so you can refer back when needed.
What's inside The First Keys Kit: Realtor Edition?
Everything in The First Keys Kit plus:
- Personalized Letter from Realtor: Personalized note written by you (the realtor) in your voice to the client congratulating them on their new home. The first thing they see when they open the box.
- Realtor’s Network Card: Your (the realtor's) trusted local professionals. Contractors, lenders, inspectors, electricians, cleaners, etc... Pre-printed on a card your clients keep in their kitchen. Every time they need a referral, your network is the first place they look.
How does the realtor customization work?
After you order the Realtor Edition, we'll email you a short form to collect your details. The form includes your name, brokerage, contact info, photo, logo, a custom note to your client, and your trusted local pros for the Realtor's Network Card.
Most realtors complete the form in under 15 minutes. Once we have your details, your kit is printed, packed, and shipped within 2–4 business days.
Ordering for a team? The form goes to whoever places the order. Reach out to us at hello@firstkeys.io to discuss quantity allocation for your team. Forward the form link to each agent on your team so they can submit their own details. Every kit is fully customized to each individual agent.
I'm a realtor team lead. Can I place a bulk order for my whole team?
Yes. Here's how it works: you place the order as the team lead, and we send you a customization link. You fill out your own kit details, then forward the same link to each agent on your team so they can complete their own. Every agent provides their own headshot or logo, brokerage info, personalized letter copy, and any other details so each kit is customized down to the individual it's going to, not just the team.
You handle one order and one invoice. Each agent handles their own customization. Bulk pricing applies to the full order.
Do you ship outside the US?
For now, First Keys ships within the contiguous U.S. only.
How long does shipping take?
- The First Keys Kit: Ships within 2–4 business days of order placement.
- Realtor Edition: Ships within 2–4 business days of completed realtor customization form (sent to you in your order confirmation email). We will review your uploaded logo, headshot, and personalization details. If anything is unclear about your custom information, we will reach out to you before production begins.
What's your return or exchange policy?
If you've already received your First Keys Kit, refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the delivery date. These requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If a return is required, any shipping costs associated with the return will be the customer's responsibility.
Because the Realtor Edition is printed and personalized to order, all submitted customization details are final. Please double-check all details in your realtor customization form before hitting submit.
Can I have the box shipped directly to a family member, friend, or client as a gift?
Yes. At checkout, simply enter your family member, friend, or client’s address as the shipping address. There is also an option to fill in a note to the recipient that will be printed on a card in the kit - so they know who it is from.
For the Realtor’s Box, we’ll print and assemble everything including your letter, your branding, and your network card, before it ships.
Can I order in bulk?
Yes, we work with brokerages, builders, mortgage lenders, relocation companies, and other businesses that want to gift First Keys to clients or employees at scale. Bulk pricing is available and detailed at checkout.

How do I use a gift card?
If someone gave you a First Keys gift card, you'll find your unique code in the email it was delivered with. At checkout, enter the code in the Gift Card or Discount Code field and the balance will be applied to your order.
If your order total is less than the card balance, the remainder stays on the card for next time. Gift cards never expire.
